It is an honor to take part in another Blog Carousel with some of the best baby photographers in the world. Once a month a theme is chosen and each participating photographer creates a blog post based on her interpretation. This month’s theme is In the Sunshine.
I am usually in Ireland for the month of August and always have a great time relaxing and shooting images for myself. This year I am in New Jersey but Ireland is on the mind. When the topic was introduced I thought of the perfect photo to share.
As a portrait photographer professionally, I am typically shooting photos of babies, children and families. It is only when I am on vacation that I shoot landscape images. A few years ago I was driving along the West Coast of Ireland in County Mayo when I spotted this beautiful double rainbow. What a magnificent sight in the sunshine after some rain. I stopped the car immediately and got out to capture the scene. I didn’t find the pot of gold, but I did feel as if I had the luck of the Irish on my side that day. 
A Wish for a Friend
Wishing you a rainbow
For sunlight after showers—
Miles and miles of Irish smiles
For golden happy hours—
Shamrocks at your doorway
For luck and laughter too,
And a host of friends that never ends
Each day your whole life through!
